Chaque année en Europe, quatre millions de tonnes de textiles (habillement, linge de maison, chaussures sont jetés, dont plus de 80% finissent avec les ordures ménagères. Ce workshop d'une semaine avec12 étudiants de la CPGE Arts Design de Nîmes réalisé grâce à un partenariat avec la marque Décathlon propose la création de chaussures recyclables à partir du concept de "tong chaussette", assemblage de la semelle et de la tige sans colle permettant la séparation des matières. Selon un méthodologie favorisant l'expérimentation, chaque groupe conçoit directement en prototype une sneaker ciblée sur un 'avantage produit' (par exemple, visibilité, adhérence, cushionning, etc.) et une pratique sportive (multisport urbain, nautisme, skate, etc.).
Each year in Europe, four million tons of textiles (clothing, household linen, shoes) are thrown away, of which 80% ends up among household rubbish. This one-week workshop for 12 students of the CPGE Arts Design of Nimes and made possible by a partnership with “Decathlon” aims at helping avoid such waste. The goal of the workshop is to create recyclable shoes on the basis of the concept of “sock thongs” and assembly of the sole and uppers without glue, enabling the separation of the component materials. Using a methodology which favours experimentation, each group conceives a distinct prototype sneaker targeted at a specific product strength (for example high-visibilty, grip, cushioning etc) and at a particular sporting activity (urban multisport, sailing, skateboarding etc).
